The CSB01.1C-NN-ENS-MEM-NN-S-NN-FW is a control section module manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for integration into the CSB Drive Controllers series. It mounts inside an IndraDrive power section and provides local axis processing, encoder evaluation, and I/O relay switching for coordinated motion. The board carries an ENS incremental encoder interface and a separate MEM emulation interface, allowing feedback conversion or signal duplication to external devices. Within an automation cell, it synchronizes position, velocity, and current loops so that connected servo drives follow the commanded trajectories with minimal latency.

The inner loops run quickly because the current loop is updated every 125 µs, the velocity loop every 250 µs, and the position loop every 500 µs. Fast signal replication is handled by the MEM output channel, which delivers square-wave pulses up to 1 MHz to downstream counters or PLC cards. The MEM link can be extended up to 40 m when the specified cable type is used, making it suitable for large machines with remote feedback racks. Connection of the MEM interface is through a D-Sub 15-pin male plug, while the ENS encoder uses a D-Sub 15-pin female socket that matches standard motor feedback harnesses. No master communication option is installed, so fieldbus interaction must be handled by the associated drive or by a separate communication module.

Start-up transients are limited by an inrush current of 4.5 A that is allowed for a maximum duration of 110 ms. The ENS supply line provides 11.6 V DC, 300 mA to power incremental encoders without external converters. A form-C relay is available on the I/O header and is rated for switching loads up to 24 V DC, 1 A, enabling direct control of brakes, contactors, or signal lamps. These electrical limits apply to the connected wiring and auxiliary loads.
