The CSB01.1C-ET-ENS-MEM-NN-S-NN-FW is a drive controller section built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the CSB Drive Controllers series. It serves as the logic module between a servo power stage and higher-level PLC equipment in industrial automation lines. By closing current, velocity, and position loops inside the controller, it coordinates motion through real-time fieldbus traffic and integrated encoder processing. Because it is the controller section rather than the power stage, it handles command processing and feedback evaluation while the connected drive hardware delivers motor current.

The controller exchanges cyclic data through a Multi-Ethernet interface that supports PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, and other 100 Mbps variants. Internal regulation is refreshed every 125 µs, giving the axis fine current-control bandwidth during dynamic motion. A dedicated control supply of 24 V DC keeps the electronics and the standard front panel active even when main power is removed. Network cabling terminates on 2 front-facing ports that follow the 100Base-TX physical layer and use RJ-45 8-pin connectors. The unit also includes encoder emulation, so simulated incremental signals can be forwarded to legacy axes while actual feedback is read through an EnDat link. Because the module has no integrated safety option, required stop functions must be provided by external hardware. It also furnishes an 11.6 V DC encoder supply and supports 300 mA draw for absolute or incremental sensors.

Physically, the module has a depth of 103 mm and stands 241 mm tall, while its 49.5 mm width keeps the housing narrow for rack installation. The slim profile allows single-slot mounting in a drive rack without blocking adjacent airflow and helps preserve space for neighboring modules. For status signaling or interlocking, the module includes a form-C relay with a contact rating of 1 A. Front access to the communication and control connections also helps keep panel wiring orderly in compact cabinets.
