By handling encoder feedback and network communication on the board, it supports accurate positioning of a single mechanical axis in packaging, printing, and material-handling equipment. Its compact card format also allows dense multi-axis racks while keeping service access available at the front panel.

The card supports 1 Axis, so its internal processor, memory, and timing resources are focused on one mechanical drive line.
