The CSB01.1C-CO-ENS-EN2-L2-S-NN-FW control section is a plug-in module produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the CSB Drive Controllers series. The card forms the command layer inside a modular drive and issues torque and velocity setpoints to the power section. In factory automation, it coordinates motion of a connected servo axis, interfaces with upstream PLC networks, and applies integrated safety logic without external relays.

This section is built for a 1-axis configuration, so all command channels, encoder ports, and safety logic are concentrated on a single drive. Fieldbus communication is available through CANopen, while DeviceNet support is available for legacy installations that still rely on that network. A hardware layer with digital I/O lines lets machine signals such as limit switches reach the controller without extra interface boards. For personnel protection, the board includes Safe Torque Off, which removes gate signals to the power section when the input is asserted and prevents unintended motor motion. Position feedback is processed from motors equipped with Hiperface primary encoders, allowing automatic electronic nameplate reading and high-resolution sinusoidal position tracking.

Configuration data and updates can be loaded through the front-mounted MultiMediaCard slot, allowing parameter transfer without a PC connection. For secondary feedback, the module accepts EnDat 2.1 encoders, which provide bidirectional communication for position values and diagnostic status. Service tools can be connected through the integrated RS232 port when fieldbus wiring is unavailable. Both encoder channels can output or accept 5 V TTL signals in addition to 1 Vpp sin/cos waveforms, providing flexibility for incremental or absolute transducers selected for the machine. Relay outputs, operator panel keys, and LED indicators are also included for local interaction with the drive.
