The CDB01.1C-S3-ENS-EN2-NNN-NNN-S2-S-NN-FW is a drive control unit produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the CDB Control Units series. It serves as the plug-in command module for IndraDrive power sections, coordinating motion on up to two servo axes and translating network, sensor, and I/O data into precise drive commands for industrial automation cells. The standard control panel provides local diagnostics for status monitoring at the front of the unit.

The unit accepts analog velocity or torque references within a range of ±10 V, while its analog feedback channel delivers up to 5 V, 1 mA for diagnostic output. For discrete signaling, it offers eight inputs rated at 24 V, 3 mA and four outputs that can switch loads up to 24 V, 0.5 A. Two drive axes are processed by an S3 CPU, and coordination with higher-level controllers occurs over the SERCOS III real-time bus. The Safe Motion package, certified as Safe Motion (SIL2 / cat. 3 PLd), enables controlled stop, limited speed, and safe direction without external relays. An RS232 port supports parameter backup when the network is unavailable. The housing is 322.6 mm high and 103 mm deep, which supports compact cabinet layouts. Relay contacts at DC 24 V and 1 A can forward drive status to PLC safety chains.

Axis feedback versatility is provided by a primary interface that accepts IndraDyn / Hiperface / 1 Vpp / TTL signals and a secondary channel that handles EnDat 2.1 / 1 Vpp / TTL encoders, enabling redundant position tracking or mixed-sensor installations. The control card's faceplate is only 49.5 mm wide, letting it share tight racks with additional modules while still supporting the two-axis processor and the standard front panel. Option slots 3 and 4 are not equipped, so additional fieldbus or encoder boards can be installed if needed.
