The BTM04.1-TA-TA-SA-VA-2EA-FW is an operator panel assembled by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the BTM04 Machine Operator Panels series. It is intended to give machine builders a compact front end for numerical controls, letting users issue commands, adjust overrides, and monitor status directly at the cabinet door or pendant. In automated cells, it replaces discrete push-button stations with a modular, menu-driven keyboard and analog override dials.

The main board is equipped with 16 input/output slots, so the panel can accept field contacts while also forwarding status bits to the CNC through a single backplane connector. All interface electronics are arranged in 4 removable module bays behind a sealed aluminum bezel, and each function card can be exchanged without rewiring the rest of the panel. The front face is sealed to IP65, which helps block dust and water jets in coolant-rich machining environments. Two bays are occupied by a writable keyboard module that provides relegendable membrane keys, allowing button names to be updated when control functions change. Motion is fine-tuned through a dedicated spindle override module whose potentiometer outputs a normalized voltage that the control interprets as a speed multiplier.

The remaining hardware adds more control functions without enlarging the footprint. A feed override module lets the operator scale axis feed rates independently of spindle speed during setup. The SA channel can be reduced from nominal to zero or increased up to 120 %, giving the control a wide adjustment range for machine response. The VA channel that governs rapid traverse has a lower boundary of 0 %, enabling a complete stop from the panel when troubleshooting. A chemically resistant, powder-coated finish resists cutting fluids and cleaning agents, so the housing maintains its protective seal and appearance over long duty cycles.
