By combining replaceable key modules in one sealed enclosure, the panel supports local start, stop, and jog functions without requiring multiple separate push-button stations on the machine frame. The modular arrangement also reduces the amount of panel cutout space needed on compact machine fronts.

The main circuit board provides 16 input and output slots, so the control cabinet can read status signals and drive indicator lamps through one ribbon cable. These signals are arranged across 4 module slots positioned side by side on the panel face. Module Slot 1 is fitted with a writable keyboard module, allowing push keys to be labeled for a specific machine recipe or operating step. Module Slot 2 carries the same type of keyboard, which doubles the number of customizable key positions without increasing the panel footprint.
