The unit serves as a front-end control point that lets machine operators start, stop, or adjust motion sequences without opening the drive cabinet. By combining safety functions, command keys, and feed or spindle controls in one housing, the panel reduces external wiring and keeps common controls close to the work area. This arrangement keeps routine interaction at the machine station instead of shifting basic control tasks to the electrical enclosure.

The housing carries an IP65 protection rating, so the internal electronics are protected from dust and water jets.
