The BTM04.1-NA-TA-TA-VA-2FF-FW operator panel is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the BTM04 Machine Operator Panels series. Intended for CNC and general automation equipment, the panel consolidates machine-side controls such as emergency stop, jog keys, and feed overrides into a sealed front plate for direct mounting on enclosures or portable pendants. By combining tactile keys with override switches, it provides the human-machine interface required to adjust feed rates and issue command inputs during machining or handling cycles.

The safety section of the panel employs a locking emergency stop actuator; once pushed, it stays engaged until a deliberate release is performed, preventing inadvertent restarts. Two independent circuits are wired through 2 normally closed contacts, giving redundant break paths for the safety relay. For process fine-tuning, the feed override rotary switch provides 16 lock settings, allowing incremental percentage reduction or increase of programmed feed. Three selector keys marked for override enable are supplied as 3 illuminated keys, so their status can be recognized even in dim cabinets. Hardware integration is simplified because the faceplate already carries an emergency stop, two keyboard modules, and a feed override.

The remaining interface is dedicated to command entry. Both keyboard modules use short-stroke pushbuttons, giving a defined actuation point suited to high cycle counts. Every module contains 15 illuminated keys, so users receive immediate visual confirmation when a function is active. Symbols or text can be added because the legend fields are labelable, eliminating the need for engraved caps. When mounted, the gasket and membrane help the front meet IP65 protection, keeping internal electronics safe from coolant splash and airborne dust during milling applications. This sealing allows direct mounting on the machine base without an additional housing.
