Product Description:
The BTM04.1-NA-TA-TA-VA-2EA-FW operator panel is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the BTM04 Machine Operator Panels series. It is intended to mount on machine enclosures and provide tactile control of CNC processes, combining safety, axis feed regulation, and programmable keys into one front plate assembly. By concentrating user interaction at the machining center, the panel simplifies wiring to the central controller and shortens reaction paths during routine jog, setup, and emergency operations. The layout groups manual control and status functions on one operating surface.
Safety is handled through an emergency-stop pushbutton with two normally closed contacts, providing redundant channels for typical safety circuits. The actuator provides IP65 front protection, so coolant spray and dust cannot reach the internal switch matrix. For axis advance, the feed-override knob indexes through 16 locking positions, allowing precise percentage selection without drift. Associated with that knob are three selector keys with LEDs that illuminate to confirm the chosen override range during milling work. System-level connectivity is provided by a master board with 16 inputs and 16 outputs, allowing direct wiring to sensors and valves while leaving the PLC to handle fieldbus communication.
The modular design is reflected in the backplane, where Slot 1 carries the emergency-stop module while Slot 4 holds the feed-override module; two intervening slots accept identical key modules for process commands. Each key module provides 15 keys with LEDs that can be color-coded and assigned in software, and the actuators use short-stroke keys for quick tactile feedback and low travel wear. Uniform IP65 sealing across all module faces supports milling environments that expose the panel to chips and lubricant without compromising signal integrity.
