The BTM04.1-NA-TA-TA-TA-2FF-FW is a machine operator panel from Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the BTM04 Machine Operator Panels series. Installed on automated equipment, it provides a fixed keypad surface and an integrated emergency stop so operators can issue commands and remove power without delay. By placing these human-machine interface elements in one enclosure, the device connects the operator to the higher-level controller through its internal backplane instead of relying on an external pendant station. It is suitable for door or arm mounting, which keeps the control surface close to the machine during normal use. The fixed layout also keeps the command points in a consistent location during operation.

The panel arranges its inputs across 3 key modules. Each module contains 15 keys with a short-stroke mechanism, for a total of 45 tactile switches. The short travel supports rapid actuation and helps reduce operator fatigue during repeated input. Each key cap is backlit by an LED, so status or mode assignments can be shown without separate pilot lamps. Blank inserts are writable, so functions can be marked after the final control layout is set.

In the electronics compartment, a backplane with 16 I/O slots accepts option cards for fieldbus, analog sensing, or relay outputs, while four module positions align with the front membrane to route key and lamp signals. The front bezel has an IP65 rating, which protects against dust and low-pressure water jets, and the powder-coated housing resists corrosion on the rear and side panels. Safety is provided by one emergency-stop module with a locking action and a redundant pair of 2 N/C contacts, so drive power is removed when the switch is pressed or if a cable is damaged. This arrangement supports reliable stop signaling at the point of operation.
