Product Description:
Bosch Rexroth Indramat’s BTM04.1-NA-TA-TA-BA-2EA-FW operator panel belongs to the BTM04 Machine Operator Panels series. As a human-machine interface, the panel provides pushbuttons and safety signaling so an automation cell can be started, paused, or brought to a safe state from a single enclosure. It is installed on machine fronts or pendant arms and routes user commands to the control system, linking operators with electronic motion or process controllers.
The user interface includes a digital input/output section rated at 16 inputs and 16 outputs, allowing direct wiring of sensors and lamp loads without additional terminal blocks. A single emergency-stop pushbutton uses a locking mechanism and opens a redundant 2 N/C contact pair so the safety relay can detect a wiring fault. One emergency-stop device is fitted, and an extra blind plate count of 1 keeps the fascia symmetrical when no optional switch is installed. External contamination is blocked by the front panel’s IP65 seal, enabling washdown or dust-laden placement. Each keyboard module offers 15 short-travel keys, giving operators numeric, function, or axis jog capability without occupying excess surface area.
Two keyboard modules are supplied, bringing a total of 2 removable key grids that can be rearranged as needed. Their caps accept writable legends so machine-specific symbols can be inserted, and every cap is backlit by an LED source for visibility in dim cells. Commands are triggered through short-stroke switches that give tactile feedback while keeping actuation force low, which helps reduce fatigue during repeated cycles. The internal master board plugs into slots 2 to 4, leaving the remaining slots free for future I/O or communication boards. This arrangement, together with the writable legends and modular layout, allows the panel to be adapted to changing process requirements without altering its external footprint.
