The BTM03.1-TA-TA-TA-VA-SA-BA-2EA-FW operator panel is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the BTM03 Machine Operator Panels series. It combines spindle and feed override selectors, a matrix keyboard, and local digital I/O so that an operator can initiate cycles, adjust speeds, and acknowledge alarms directly at the machine. By placing these controls on a sealed front plate, the panel serves as the human-machine interface for milling centers and other CNC equipment.

The panel supplies 16 In / 16 Out discrete channels, allowing limit switches, ready contacts, and indicator lamps to be wired without an external breakout board. Feed motion is trimmed through a rotary selector that offers 16 detented positions, while the selected range is confirmed by 3 feed-override LED switches next to the knob. Spindle speed is adjusted with a second dial that also provides 16 fixed steps, keeping ratio changes predictable for the operator. Because the override logic follows a milling profile, cutting parameters match the selected operating mode. The keyboard face carries an IP65 rating, so coolant spray and airborne dust do not interfere with the switch matrix during production shifts.

Each keyboard module contains 30 keys that use a Short Stroke mechanism, delivering fast actuation with low travel. Keycaps are supplied as Writable blanks, allowing custom legends to be inserted for machine-specific functions and language requirements. Three unused cavities are fitted with blank-module LED switches, providing expansion points without cabinet modification. The unpopulated selector space keeps the tactile layout consistent if additional spindle or feed controls are required later, and the panel’s milling-oriented behavior is reinforced by the clearly identified Milling override mode.
