This unit serves as a machine-mounted human-machine interface, replacing desktop controls with sealed hardware that can be installed directly on milling, drilling, or turning centers. By translating physical button presses and hand-wheel movements into electrical signals, the panel lets operators issue jog, setup, and override commands at the machine rather than from a remote workstation.

The layout contains 1 feed module dedicated to milling tasks, so a single hand wheel can generate incremental axis movements without software menus. That wheel can be indexed through 16 feed-lock positions, allowing repeatable step feeds during tool approach or part probing. Below the wheel, short-stroke keys minimize travel distance and reduce fatigue during frequent cycle starts or stops. A keypad with 15 keys supports direct numeric or mode entry when a control program requires manual data input.
