The BTM03.1-NN-TA-VA-TA-WE-MA-2EA-FW is a machine operator panel produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the BTM03 Machine Operator Panels series. It serves as the primary human-machine interface for CNC and automated production equipment, combining push-button control, visual indication, and integrated safety signaling in one enclosure. By relaying operator commands and status messages to the automation controller, the panel supports manual intervention, setup, and diagnostic work while keeping hazardous motion isolated behind its sealed front surface. Operators can issue commands and read machine status from one location, which helps keep routine interaction direct and organized.

Mechanical construction starts with the powder-coated finish, a surface treatment that resists scratching and fluids commonly found around coolant lines. The front side has a protection rating of IP65, so dust is kept out and low-pressure water jets do not affect the internal electronics from that side. A master board provides 16 inputs and outputs, allowing direct wiring of limit switches, pilot lights, and field sensors without additional terminal blocks. Inside the housing, a backplane with 6 slots accepts function modules, which supports a modular layout while keeping wiring local to the panel. Despite the metal housing and populated boards, the unit weighs only 3.5 kg, which allows arm-mounted installation without heavy counterbalancing.

In the standard build, four slots are already equipped. Slot 1 carries the dedicated Emergency Stop module, providing hard-wired category 0 shutdown through dual-channel contacts. Slot 2 is fitted with a writable keyboard module, so function keys can be relabeled for different machine recipes. Continuous speed trimming is handled in Slot 3 by the feed override module, which routes a potentiometer signal to the drive and scales programmed feed rates. Slot 4 holds a regular keyboard module for numeric data entry and soft-key selection. The remaining two open positions allow OEMs to add jog wheels, selector switches, or additional lamps without enlarging the panel footprint.
