The BTM03.1-NN-TA-TA-TA-SA-VA-2EA-FW operator panel comes from the BTM03 Machine Operator Panels series manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. Designed for motion-control workstations, the panel serves as the main user terminal on machining centers where it relays manual feed and spindle commands to the automation controller. By combining hard-wired keys with override dials, this unit lets operators adjust tool speeds and cutting feeds while the machine is running, maintaining direct interaction with the CNC process. The layout is intended for stations that need immediate access to machine functions without opening separate software menus. Front-mounted keys and dials support quick operating changes during setup and active machining.
In design version 1, the panel face carries a sealing system certified to IP65, so dust and water jets cannot reach the circuitry during cleaning. Its steel housing has a powder-coated finish that resists oil, chips, and coolant spray. A backplane on line 3 accepts 6 module slots, and the slot allocation is fixed at the factory while remaining field-replaceable. Core signaling is handled by the master board with 16 inputs / 16 outputs, allowing direct connection to limit switches, lamps, and relays without auxiliary terminal blocks. Safety shutdown is implemented through the dedicated Emergency-Stop Module inserted in slot 1, giving the panel a single-action stop circuit for both drives and tool motors. This arrangement keeps the control electronics protected while leaving the service side accessible from inside the cabinet.
Control flexibility is extended by slot 5’s Spindle Override Module, which delivers 16 spindle override positions for real-time speed trimming. Slot 6 contains the Feed Override Module, and its dial provides 16 feed override positions for adjusting linear feed without altering CNC code. Slots 2 through 4 hold three writable key modules that accept custom labels for auxiliary functions such as coolant, clamp, or cycle start. Separate spindle and feed controls help the operator make quick process changes while the programmed motion sequence continues.
