The BTM03.1-NA-TA-TA-VE-SA-HA-2FF-FW hand-held operator panel is supplied by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the BTM03 Machine Operator Panels series. The unit combines an emergency stop, override dials, a handwheel, and a membrane keyboard so an operator can intervene directly in CNC or automation sequences. By placing these manual interfaces in a single enclosure, the panel supports feedrate adjustment, spindle speed trimming, and immediate machine shutdown for safety-related tasks on milling centers, lathes, and transfer lines.

The emergency-stop assembly uses 2 N/C normally closed contacts that open when the button is pressed, and a locking mechanism keeps the circuit latched until the stop condition is cleared. A single emergency-stop module is wired inside the panel, which keeps the safety circuit arrangement straightforward. For manual axis jogging, one handwheel module is installed, and its front sealing is rated at IP65. The incremental dial is scaled from 0 to 100 to match common percent feed settings. Two keyboard modules provide alphanumeric entry, and the keys are the writable type so function labels can be customized as needed.

Separate override sections handle rapid traverse and spindle speed. Each section uses 1 dedicated module and has front-face protection against coolant splash. The rapid traverse override offers 16 detented positions and follows the graduated scale 0/1/2/4/6/8/10/20/30/40/50/60/70/80/100/120%, allowing either fine or coarse motion adjustment during setup. An identical 16-step mechanism governs the spindle override, but its calibration is shifted to 45/50/55/60/65/70/75/80/85/90/95/100/105/110/115/120% so spindle speed can be trimmed above or below nominal speed without changing drive parameters. These modules let the operator adjust feed or spindle values while machining continues without interrupting automatic cycles.
