The BTM03.1-NA-TA-TA-VA-BA-HA-2FF-FW is an operator panel from the BTM03 Machine Operator Panels series produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. Installed on the front of CNC milling or turning centers, the panel consolidates emergency-stop, axis-feed, and handwheel controls so the machine tool can be started, stopped, or jogged directly at the work area. Its function in an automation cell is to give the operator a dedicated human-machine interface that remains electrically separate from motion drives and safety relays while still passing status information to the control cabinet.
The emergency-stop pushbutton uses a locking action, meaning it stays mechanically latched until it is twisted or pulled to release, preventing inadvertent reset. Two normally closed safety channels are provided through the 2 N/C contact block, and both channels must open to drop power to the drives. Feed rate intervention is handled by three illuminated override keys, which let the operator see the selected increment in dimly lit booths. Up to 16 feed override lock positions are available, giving discrete percentage steps that the NC can read as binary inputs. The feed override type is milling, which favors fine control at low feed rates while still allowing rapid removal passes. Handwheel jogging employs a separate set of three keys with LED feedback, enabling incremental axis moves without altering the programmed path.
Inside the housing, Slot 1 carries an Emergency-Stop Module, while Slot 2 is populated by a Keyboard Module that passes alphanumeric inputs to the CNC. Communication over the serial interface can be set to 9600/19200 Baud, so wiring distance and noise immunity can be balanced against update speed. All digital inputs accept a nominal 24 VDC level arriving on ports X28/X29, and diagnostic messages are returned to the control through port X8. Slot 4 contains the feed override module, Slot 5 is filled with a blind plate for future expansion, and Slot 6 hosts the handwheel module.
