Designed for machine tools, the panel consolidates emergency stop, feed override, and keyboard input into a single housing, giving CNC and PLC systems a compact human-machine interface. In an automation cell, it serves as the front-line control point for local commands, letting operators halt motion immediately or adjust axis feed behavior without opening the electrical cabinet. This arrangement keeps essential control functions in one accessible location on the machine.
The safety circuit centers on one E-stop module that executes a locking action; once pressed, the button latches mechanically until the reset procedure is complete. Two independent contacts rated as 2 N/C provide redundant normally closed channels to the control relay. An ingress-protected face rated at IP65 keeps dust and coolant away from the pushbutton, selector, and indicator sections. Feed adjustment is handled by a single override module that carries 3 keys with LEDs and a rotary switch offering 16 discrete positions. This override function is configured for milling applications, allowing feed changes during machining without interrupting the active process.
Input of program commands is provided by keyboard modules; each uses the short stroke switch design to shorten travel and enhance tactile feedback. Every module presents 15 keys, and the plex overlays can be labeled so function assignments remain visible after reprogramming. The panel includes 4 keyboard modules together with the E-stop and feed override sections, for a total of 6 modules. The factory-assembled layout uses matched cabling and backplane connectors, so the installed module set is already coordinated within the enclosure.
