It serves as a front-end control station, sending emergency-stop, spindle, feed, key, and handwheel commands directly to the automation controller. By combining tactile switches, selector keys, and a manual pulse generator in one enclosure, the panel simplifies wiring and reduces cabinet depth on machining centers and assembly cells. The layout supports machine stations where spindle control, feed override, and manual jogging must remain available at the point of operation. That makes it suitable for stations where operators must change modes quickly without leaving the machine face.
