Bosch Rexroth Indramat produces the BTM03.1-BA-TA-TA-TA-TA-VA-2FF-FW operator panel within the BTM03 Machine Operator Panels series. This unit serves as a front-end human-machine interface, allowing machine builders to present status, accept commands, and control local automation cells without separate terminal equipment. Integrated electrical interfaces link the panel to the master control system, so push-buttons and display fields can be mapped directly into programmable logic controllers. That arrangement lets local operators start sequences, acknowledge alarms, and monitor process conditions from the machine face.

The panel draws a control supply of 24 VDC, which suits the low-voltage sections of most cabinet layouts and permits direct connection to suitable control power sources. Discrete field signals enter the master board through 16 inputs and outputs, allowing the operator station to read switches and drive indicator lamps without additional expansion cards. Local digital signals are wired on the X28/X29 terminals, so enclosure wiring can remain short between the panel and nearby devices. Diagnostic or recipe data is exchanged across the RS232 channel, and the mating plug for that link is the X8 serial connector. Using separate local and serial connections helps organize panel wiring and keeps control signals easier to route inside the enclosure.

The housing provides 6 rear expansion bays for keypad and accessory placement. In this configuration, slot 1 carries a blind plate, slots 2 and 3 each contain a writable keyboard module, and slot 4 holds a standard keyboard for fixed functions. The aluminum front frame has a powder-coated finish that resists scratches and reduces glare from overhead lighting. A sealed bezel, gaskets, and rear cover give the assembly an IP65 rating, which helps keep dust and nozzle-directed water away from the internal electronics. This sealing supports use at stations exposed to coolant spray, airborne oil, or fine particulate.
