Product Description:
The BTA16.1-NE-SP-VE-BS control board is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the BTA16 Machine Control Boards series. As a modular bus terminal adapter, it links a motion controller to peripheral I/O and passes status data to higher-level systems. The board performs protocol conversion and signal conditioning so drive functions, sensors, and actuators can operate together on a coordinated plant network. This arrangement supports orderly signal exchange between the controller and connected field devices during normal machine operation. Its role is to provide a secure, panel-mounted interface for industrial automation while relaying commands and feedback with deterministic timing.
The board uses a fully digital bus module architecture, which removes analog multiplexers and helps reduce drift over time. It communicates over INTERBUS-S / BT-BUS, allowing deterministic telegrams to pass between Rexroth drives and remote I/O without an added gateway. During operation, it dissipates only 10 W of heat, so cabinet airflow can be sized with modest thermal load in mind. The housing and connector seal provide IP65 protection, shielding the circuits from dust and low-pressure water jets when the front is closed. Reliable function is maintained at ambient temperatures up to +45 °C, allowing installation beside nearby power electronics.
Operation remains possible at atmospheric pressures down to 860 hPa, and startup is permitted at temperatures as low as +5 °C when condensation is avoided. The assembly also tolerates pressures up to 1060 hPa, which covers most locations at or below sea level. The operator interface layer is printed on varnished aluminum, providing a durable mounting surface for LEDs and test points while helping keep weight low. A polyester foil overlay protects the legends from solvents and abrasion during routine use.
