The BTA10.1-VE machine control board is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the BTA10 Machine Control Boards series. It is installed as a rapid-override node inside larger CNC or packaging systems, allowing manual intervention in axis motion or sequence flow without powering down the primary controller. Through its keyed selector interface, the module passes commands to downstream drives while remaining separate from the main control path. This arrangement supports local mode changes during setup or process checks without interrupting the rest of the machine.
Physically, the board has a depth of 105 mm and a width of 119 mm. Its front is covered by a chemically resistant polyester foil over a lacquered aluminum panel, and this assembly reaches a front protection rating of IP65, so dust and low-pressure water jets cannot reach the electronics when the cabinet door is open. Three LED switch keys show status and accept manual overrides, while the rotary selector offers sixteen lock positions for detailed mode selection. Communication with the main PLC occurs over a differential RS422 link that resists electrical noise on longer cable runs. Power is supplied at 24 VDC, and continuous operation dissipates no more than 5 W of heat.
The stainless-steel housing around the rear and sides is rated IP20, which matches cabinets that require basic touch protection. With a height of only 169 mm, the unit can be mounted in tight panel layouts, and its input range tolerates supply variation of up to ±20%, which helps prevent nuisance trips during brownouts. Up to 6 units can be linked through the ribbon bus so one operator station can override multiple motion channels without extra point-to-point wiring. The compact housing also leaves room for adjacent control components in dense machine cabinets.
