The BTA10.1-VB is a machine control board produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the BTA10 Machine Control Boards series. The unit mounts in operator panels, where push-button and key-switch inputs are converted into logic signals that coordinate drives, sensors, and safety relays on automated lines. A stainless steel housing resists corrosion in demanding plant environments, and three integrated switch keys allow direct mode selection. The rotary selector also provides position feedback to the drive controller, supporting clear operating-state recognition during machine start, stop, and mode changes.
The board communicates with the supervisory PLC over a differential RS422 link, which helps limit noise pickup on long cable runs. Logic power is derived from a regulated 24 VDC source, and the electronics remain within normal operation as long as ambient temperature stays below 45 °C. Component assemblies are arranged on carriers that extend 105 mm from the front bezel, leaving clearance for wiring inside the enclosure. Protection on the rear and sides is limited to IP20, so the unit must be installed inside a closed cabinet. The operating range begins at 5 °C, which helps the input stages maintain stable logic levels during startup in cooler spaces.
At the operator interface, the front bezel carries a sealed membrane scale marked 0-10-20-40-60-70-75-80-85-90-95-100-105-110-115-120 %, allowing relative setpoints to be read directly. This bezel has a front protection rating of IP65, which helps keep dust and low-pressure water jets away from the control surface. The complete assembly stands 169 mm tall and 119 mm wide, allowing installation beside standard push-button stations. A selector drum inside the panel provides 16 discrete lock positions so machine modes can be latched mechanically. When fully energized, the electronics dissipate up to 5 W of heat.
