Product Description:
The BTA10.1-NB is an emergency-stop module assembled by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the BTA10 Machine Control Boards series. The board is intended to integrate the safety circuit of automated machines by supervising local and remote emergency buttons and forwarding status to the higher-level controller. It monitors stop requests from multiple access points and passes the resulting state to the machine control so motion can be removed when an emergency occurs. With its dedicated connectors and compact profile, the unit provides a ready-made safety layer that simplifies panel wiring in production lines and similar equipment.
Electrical performance centers on a supply window of 24 V ±20%, so common control power rails can feed the board without special conditioning. Communication to the safety PLC occurs over the differential RS-422 interface, which helps maintain signal integrity in noisy plant environments and along longer cable runs. The molded front panel carries a rating of IP65, allowing washdown exposure when the unit is mounted in an operator console or other exposed machine surface. Internal dissipation peaks at 5 W, which helps limit heat buildup inside compact enclosures. Overall dimensions of 119 × 169 × 105 mm permit vertical or horizontal DIN-rail placement while still leaving clearance for cable bends. Two handheld E-stop loops and two reset loops are routed through dedicated terminals, and the onboard relay provides a single normally closed contact for the main emergency-stop channel.
The rear housing is protected only to IP20, so the wiring side must remain inside a cabinet when the sealed front is exposed on the machine frame. A shell made of stainless steel with a RAL 7035 Light Gray lacquered finish resists abrasion from tools and solvents, while the chemically resistant polyester foil overlay helps preserve legend clarity on the keypad area. Up to 6 identical safety boards can be linked through the internal bus, allowing expansion of distributed stop points without extra gateways.
