Product Description:
The BTA10.1 machine control board is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the BTA10 Machine Control Boards series. It serves as a compact operator and signal-conditioning module for industrial automation, allowing decentralized I/O handling and front-panel status indication. By combining local push-button access with serial data exchange, the unit helps coordinate drives, sensors, and supervisory PLCs in assembly systems, material-handling lines, and packaging equipment. Front-panel access lets routine commands and machine checks be handled without opening the control cabinet.
The board communicates with upstream controllers through a RS422 interface, which supports noise-immune differential signaling over long cable runs. Its footprint of 119 × 169 × 105 mm permits dense mounting when several panels must share limited door space. The anodized faceplate carries an ingress rating of IP65, so dust and low-pressure water jets cannot reach the keypad or indicator lamps. All circuitry runs from a nominal 24 V ±20% supply, making the device compatible with common control-cabinet power rails. During operation it dissipates up to 5 W of heat, which is low enough for passive convection inside most enclosures. The surface color is RAL 7035 light gray, and the legend areas are covered by a chemically resistant polyester foil that resists cleaning agents used in production areas.
The rear enclosure is fabricated from stainless steel and has a protection rating of IP20, reflecting that only the front side is intended for exposed installation. Behind the bezel, the panel electronics are anchored to an internal heat sink finished in lacquered aluminum to spread thermal load more evenly across the assembly. Up to 6 identical boards can be linked on one serial branch, which allows several machine sections to share the same host connection. This arrangement reduces separate cabling between cabinet sections and keeps the host interface centralized.
