This means that the motor very low maintenance requirements because the relative movements between parts are significantly decreased. This is a major design modification from the brushed design that needs frequent maintenance. This motor has a rotor that is designed with improved geometry and has significantly reduced moment of inertia. With a rotor moment of inertia of just 0.162 kgm2, the rotor enables rapid acceleration and deceleration. Highly fast paced movements are also enabled because of the rotor's low inertia. Because of a liquid cooled design, this servo motor can be used for long periods of time without heating up or halting.

The ADF134D-B05TC3-BS00-C2V1 can operate at a 2000 rpm speed and a 180 Nm torque can be extracted from this motor’s output. This model can produce a power output of 37.7 kW. It has an 89 A rated current. This model has been equipped with a smart motor feedback system. The highly intelligent closed loop feedback system ensures that there is accurate motor positioning. The rotor’s position is monitored with precision and a resolution of 1/2000 000 revolutions is possible. With a powerful holding brake, the motor’s main spindle can be clamped with a strong grip. When the motor is denergized and the power is cut off, the main spindle is strongly held in its position with the holding brake.
