Bosch Rexroth  ADF132C-B05TB1-BS03-A2N1 spindle drive motor can be repainted with an additional layer of a black coat and should not be thicker than 40 µm. The motor painting is resistant to chalky build-up, alkaline solutions, and weathering. The drive motor power connections are inbuilt with the connection points for the motor NTC thermostat and the holding brake. The motor's NTC thermostat is located at the winding of the spindle motor and is used in monitoring the heat capacity. Through the NTC thermostat, the motor can send error messages and shut down due to thermal reasons. The holding brakes are connected to the power terminal and are triggered by the control circuit of the motor.

The ADF132C-B05TB1-BS03-A2N1 is liquid-cooled and therefore can be operated at any elevation level.  The recommended ambient temperature for the safe operation of the servo drive should range from 0° to 45° C. The motor drive is protected against penetration by solid objects that have a diameter of less than 50 mm. The protection, however, does not cover deliberate penetration on the motor housing, e.g., human hands, but it will prevent larger surfaces from penetrating it. The protection category is as per the DIN 40050 class of protection for servo drive housing.

The ADF132C-B05TB1-BS03-A2N1 spindle motor is operated at a spiral force with a lifespan of Ln= 20,000 working hours. The recommended axial force equals 30 N in almost all mounting orientations. The spindle motor may only be used in heavy-duty bearing with a minimum radial force of 1.5kN and are not suited for direct connections to the main.
