The ADF104C-B05TR1-CS07-C2N2 is a main spindle motor belonging to the ADF series line. The ADF series motors are well-suited to be used as liquid cooled main spindle drives and servo drive. They find application in plastics molding industry, textile industry, and printing machines. Along with a drive controller the ADF motor forms a complete unit. They are characterized by a broad speed range and a broad weakening range.

The motor has provision for feedback, enabling the drive to control speed and rotor position. It has a very fine resolution up to 1/2 000 000th of a revolution. It features a holding brake. Using it, it can lock the output shaft at standstill. Therefore, the spindle can be safely held in the machine tool. This motor can be mounted on a flange. The motor features maintenance free operation as it runs on induction.

This motor can be operated at any elevation because of liquid cooling. To guarantee ideal motor feedback and correct operation, use these motors from 0 degree C to 45 degree C. It has a protection rating of IP 65. This means that the motor is protected from dust and water. The motor housing comes with a protective black coat of paint. These spindle motors are equipped with special ball bearings and cylindrical bearings which have a long mechanical service life of 20,000 working hours. The holding brake of this motor is not a working brake. It will gradually wear down after 20,000 motor revolutions while braking the axis.
