The 2AD100B-B35RB1-AS03-B2N1 is a maintenance-free asynchronous motor in the 2AD series by Bosch Rexroth. It features high-resolution motor feedback for detecting its relative indirect position with impressive features. With this motor feedback type, there is no need for a separate incremental encoder. The motor has an output shaft with key and is balanced with the entire key per DIN 6885-1. It can take up torques with a constant direction and makes low demands of the shaft-hub connection. Its lifetime-lubricated bearings have a nominal service life of  20,000 operating hours and consist of deep-groove ball bearings. These bearings are highly versatile, accommodating low to medium radial and axial forces and high rotational speeds.

Given the IP 65 Ingress Protection rating of the 2AD100B-B35RB1-AS03-B2N1 per DIN 40 050, it is safe from penetration by solid extrinsic objects and water. Its housing design also prevents contact with parts, either moving or to which voltage is being applied. It can also be operated under poor environmental conditions without the risk of damage. This 2AD motor can reach a base speed of 1,500 revolutions per minute and a maximum speed of 9,000 revolutions per minute. Its squirrel-cage rotor has a moment of inertia of 0.014 kgm² and provides a high starting torque, allowing the motor to initiate rotation and overcome inertia when starting from rest. The NTC thermistors built into its windings offer protection against irreversible damage due to thermal overload.
