The 1MR310B-A120 is a rotor for 1MB motors. The 1MB product line is a family of liquid-cooled asynchronous motors that is designed by Bosch Rexroth for industrial applications such as direct drives for motor spindles. 1MB motors are widely used for grinding, turning and milling in machine tools, processing centers and transfer lines. The motor spindle consists of the functional units: spindle with housing, bearings, frameless spindle motor with cooling and motor feedback. The specifications of the type of bearing, their lubrication, the degree of bearing priming, as well as the protection of the interior of the stator against dirt, coolant lubricants, bearing grease, etc. depends on the application of the motor spindle and is the responsibility of the spindle manufacturer. The motor feedback measures the rotor position and reports it to the control device responsible for regulating the speed and position of the spindle.

Motor feedback is integrated in the motor spindle as an independent module. Due to the liquid-cooled stator, the 1MB motors have a high power density. The coolant – usually water with a special chemical additive - absorbs the power loss of the stator and the major portion of the rotor power loss. The power loss is transferred to a superordinate coolant in the refrigeration unit. The 1MR310B-A120 is compatible with 1MB motors that have motor frame size code 310 and motor frame length code B. The inside diameter of the 1MR310B-A120 is 120 millimeters. The design of the 1MR310B-A120 includes a step interference fit. The 1MR310B-A120 can be stored vertically or horizontally.
