The Rexroth 1MB liquid-cooled asynchronous frameless spindle motors are made up of two important components, the rotor and stator. They are frameless motors which means that they are designed to be placed into a machine. They are used as direct drives in motor spindles and are used for turning, milling, and grinding in machine tools, transfer lines, processing centers, and special purpose machines. The 1MR200D-A066 is a rotor for the 1MB200D motor models.

The position of the 1MR200D-A066 is measured by motor feedback, which reports to the control device responsible for regulating the speed and position of the spindle. It consists of a sleeve and a laminated core with balancing rings and threaded pins. Threaded pins, according to DIN 913 are a part of the motor delivery and are used to maintain equilibrium when balancing the rotor. They are kept in place by LOCTITE 620 bonding, a heat-resistant gluing agent. The pins keep the motor from loosening during operation, thereby preventing danger to the machine and its operator. The rotor weighs 19 kg and has an inside diameter of 66mm.

About a third of the heat loss from the 1MB-200D motor is via the 1MR200D-A066. The amount of heat loss is dependent on the degree of utilization of the output and the mechanical construction of the machine. Some of the heat is removed via the stator, bearings, spindle, and endplate. The degree of protection is rated IP 00 according to IEC 60529, hence, it should not be used in a damp environment or foggy atmosphere. The use of cooling lubricants and other aggressive materials should be avoided. It should also not be exposed to jets of water.
