Product Description:
The ZS4500-2010 is a connector block supplied by Beckhoff within the ZS Motion Accessories series. In a drive cabinet, it provides preconfigured motor and sensor terminations so axis modules can be wired quickly and replaced after service without disturbing adjacent circuits or unraveling neighboring cable bundles. By grouping power, feedback, and brake lines into four coded ports, the unit simplifies loop-through of motion signals and helps streamline wiring on multi-axis machines where organized routing and clear access are important.
The block carries an IEC continuous rating of 57 A and a dielectric rating of 1000 V, allowing it to distribute medium-power servo currents alongside encoder supplies on the same carrier in compact control cabinets. A connector pitch of 7.62 mm accommodates ring lugs and ferrules while maintaining creepage distances for mixed-voltage wiring. Power conductors up to 6 mm² can be inserted in each spring cage, and the clamping system can expand to a maximum of 10 mm² for incoming feeders. Mechanical fastening uses an M3 clamping screw that stabilizes the header against vibration during axis acceleration. Additional figures include a plugging force of 16.5 N per pole, a pulling force of 11 N per pole, and a tested endurance of 25 mating cycles; these values indicate the insertion effort and long-term retention expected in routine panel use.
Total capacity reaches 19 poles laid out in a straight 180° outlet direction, so conductors leave parallel to the DIN rail. Torque applied to the terminal cage must not exceed 0.6 Nm, preventing damage to the conductive spring made of Cu-alloy with a tinned surface that resists oxidation. The insulation body is molded from PA, and interfaces X01, X02, X03, and X06 are marked on the front so predefined pinouts can be matched without cross-checking external documents.
