Product Description:
Manufactured by Beckhoff and supplied under the ZK Motor Cables series, the ZX4530-0010-0050 is an assembled motor cable designed for industrial automation axes that require power and signal transmission through a single routed line. The cable supports servo and stepper installations in machinery where compact routing and dependable connections are essential for drive-to-motor wiring. Its integrated design reduces the number of separately routed cables required for palletizers, pick-and-place modules, indexing tables, and other motion-controlled equipment.
The cable core has a 4 × 2 × 0.25 mm² conductor arrangement, providing eight conductors organized as four pairs to help balance impedance and limit crosstalk. At the motor end, an M23 circular plug provides a sealed interface and accommodates a 12-pin connection for power, brake, and feedback circuits. Each contact carries up to 7 A while remaining within the connector’s 160 V AC/DC continuous rating and 2.5 kV impulse rating. Crimp contacts provide low electrical resistance and secure conductor termination under machine vibration. The controller end uses a D-sub connector with solder-bucket contacts that securely terminate the small-gauge conductors. The connector shell also provides mechanical support where the cable enters the cabinet interface. Overall cable insulation tolerates 300 V AC during continuous service.
The controller-side 15-pin plug has a metal hood that protects the contact area and helps shield the terminated conductors from mechanical stress. The assembly has a continuous operating limit of 300 V AC, supporting its use with compatible industrial drive and motor circuits. A quick-acting Speedtec screw latch secures the connection and reduces the time needed to disconnect or reconnect the cable. Contact plating supports at least 500 mating cycles without significant deterioration, while the finely stranded conductors can withstand as many as 5 million dynamic bending cycles in energy-chain carriers. This bending capability accommodates repetitive cable movement on automated axes where the routed line must flex throughout normal machine operation.
