Product Description:
The ZK7A26-3031-0020 is a motor power and data cable produced by Beckhoff within the ZK Motor Cables series. This hybrid assembly links EtherCAT P drives to control cabinets, carrying supply voltage and real-time fieldbus signals in a single sheath for compact machine wiring. In an automation cell, it functions as a fixed or trailing connection between a servo axis and its drive, supporting synchronized motion commands, feedback transmission, and auxiliary power distribution. Combining these connections in one cable reduces the number of separate cable runs required between machine components.
The cable is supplied in a fixed length of 2.00 m, allowing short point-to-point routing inside compact enclosures without excess slack. A molded connector provides 4 dedicated signal pins, allowing power and 100 Mbps data to share the same interface while maintaining deterministic bus timing. The data conductors conform to Cat 5 performance, which supports bandwidth up to 100 MHz and accommodates standard EtherCAT frame rates over the available cable length. For harsh plant environments, the double-sealed housing attains an IP65/IP67 protection class, shielding the internal copper pairs from dust, water jets, and temporary water immersion. The sealed interface also helps protect signal quality when the cable is installed near equipment exposed to moisture or airborne debris.
The connector has a B23 installation size, making it compatible with Beckhoff servo motors that use this coding profile. Copper power conductors are complemented by signal pairs with a cross-sectional area of 0.34 mm² (AWG 22); this conductor size balances voltage drop with the tight bend radii commonly required in cable carriers. Mating orientation is controlled by a keyed insert with coding position 3, preventing incorrect rotation or cross-mating with differently coded connector variants. The keyed configuration guides the contacts into the proper alignment before the connection is secured, helping protect the pins from damage during installation. Its molded housing provides strain relief where the cable enters the connector, reducing concentrated mechanical stress when the assembly bends or moves during machine operation.
