The cable is supplied in a fixed length of 3.0 m, making it suitable for short runs inside control cabinets or between adjacent machines. Its data conductors are coded for EtherCAT-P and terminate on four signal pins, so the male connector carries 4 EtherCAT P contacts that follow the Cat.5 transmission class. Continuous signal quality is supported by a copper braid and foil that provide 360° shielding around the twisted pairs, which helps limit interference in mixed-power environments.
