Product Description:
The ZK7314-3031-C003 is a preassembled motor cable manufactured by Beckhoff within the ZK Motor Cables series. It links EtherCAT P servo drives to field-mounted actuators and combines power conductors, logic voltage, and data pairs in a single molded assembly to simplify machine wiring. In industrial automation, this type of hybrid cable streamlines installation while maintaining deterministic communication and motor supply on moving axes. Because power and communication travel through one assembly, cable management stays cleaner where axes, small rotary modules, or compact transport units have limited space.
The fixed jacket length of 0.3 m allows tight routing inside compact enclosures, and the circular connector uses a 5+4-pin arrangement so separate power and signal contacts remain mechanically keyed. At 40 °C, the copper cores can carry up to 29 A, matching the continuous current of mid-range servomotors, while the insulation system withstands operating potentials up to 630 V AC/850 V DC. To support this load, the supply conductors accept a maximum cross-section of 4 mm², while the shielded data pair is limited to 0.34 mm² (AWG22), which aligns with typical RS-485 requirements and helps minimize noise coupling between high-current and high-speed channels. This separation of conductor sizes supports the different electrical demands of motor power delivery and EtherCAT P signaling without making the cable unnecessarily bulky.
Ingress protection is rated at IP65/IP67, so the molded coupling resists dust, oil spray, and temporary immersion without additional housings. Four integrated signal contacts correspond to 4 EtherCAT P pins, delivering real-time bus traffic and dual 24 V logic lines in the 2 × 24 V DC + PE coding arrangement. The connector envelope follows installation size B23, allowing direct mating with compatible Beckhoff drives, and the power segment terminates in four load pins plus protective earth for reliable ground continuity in servo applications. Mechanical coding also reduces the chance of misconnection when similar hybrid leads are installed close together on densely packed equipment.
