The ZK7208-3031-A100 is a preassembled motor and data cable manufactured by Beckhoff for use within the ZK Motor Cables series. It combines power supply conductors and EtherCAT P lines so a single cable can energize a servo axis and carry real-time fieldbus communication in automated machinery. The hybrid design reduces wiring between control cabinets and decentralized drive technology, while bayonet locks on the B17 circular connectors allow tool-free installation on the machine frame. This arrangement also reduces the number of separate cable routes required for power and communication.
The cable is supplied in a length of 10.0 m, providing adequate reach for medium-sized gantries and conveyors. A combined 5 + 4-pin connector layout separates four power cores, a protective earth conductor, and four data contacts within one shell. The power pins carry a continuous phase current of 16 A when the ambient temperature remains at or below 40 °C. The insulation supports up to 630 V AC / 850 V DC, allowing common industrial inverters to drive three-phase motor windings. The Ethernet pair is rated as Cat.5, permitting deterministic EtherCAT telegrams at 100 Mbit/s without additional shielding ducts.
