Product Description:
The ZK7000-0303-0010 extension motor cable is supplied by Beckhoff as part of the ZK Motor Cables series. It interconnects EtherCAT P field devices with a drive or I/O controller, carrying low-voltage power and real-time communication in one sheath. In automated machinery, this hybrid lead reduces wiring points, simplifies device setup, and supports motion axes that require synchronized bus updates along with auxiliary 24 V supplies. Because power and communication share the same cable, the connection stays compact in areas where separate leads would otherwise crowd moving machine sections.
With a length of 1.0 m, the assembly works as a short jumper between panel bulkheads or from drag-chain entry points to the motor connector. Internally, the conductor arrangement follows a 1x4xAWG22 layout, so four twisted 0.34 mm² wires maintain impedance for deterministic telegram timing. The outer sheath and bend radius are suitable for drag-chain use, which helps limit cyclic stress in dynamic axes. The cable uses an EtherCAT-P interface, so the circular connectors carry two power contacts and four data contacts through one keyed connection. Male and female terminations are placed at opposite ends, and a continuous copper feed-through preserves shielding continuity from end to end. The cable carries up to 3 A over the supply pair while the differential lines handle bus traffic without crosstalk.
The assembly uses molded connector bodies sized to M8, a PUR jacket, and sealing that reaches IP65/IP67 when mated. The elastomer sheath resists oils and weld spatter, and its dielectric strength supports operation at 50 V AC/60 V DC across the supply cores. It can be routed beside pneumatic tubes and sensor leads without additional conduit. The shielding arrangement supports stable signal transmission when the cable is installed near other machine wiring.
