Product Description:
The ZK7000-0105-0100 is an extension cable produced by Beckhoff for the ZK Motor Cables series. This prefabricated lead is intended for EtherCAT-P installations and provides the combined power and communication path required between motion controllers and remote motor modules. Within an automated cell, it simplifies wiring by replacing separate power and data runs, which reduces the number of cabinet exit points and keeps installation layouts more straightforward.
With a length of 10.0 m, the cable can bridge equipment mounted across production lines without intermediate junctions. Its coding follows the EtherCAT-P standard, and the US 24 V DC/UP 24 V DC arrangement assigns the orange pair to auxiliary loads. The cable uses a 1 x 4 x AWG22 conductor arrangement inside a flexible outer jacket, and the male-to-female feed-through design removes the need for terminal adapters. The compact M8 connectors use mechanical coding 1 and provide four dedicated pins for stable signal transmission. Dust-tight sealing and water-jet resistance are confirmed by a rating of IP65/IP67. For electrical safety, the insulation is rated for up to 50 V AC/60 V DC, matching the low-voltage limits commonly used in decentralized servo networks.
The conductor size for the signal pair is 0.34 mm², which helps maintain low impedance for a 100 Mb/s Ethernet layer while keeping the cable diameter compact. A tough PUR outer jacket resists oils and weld spatter, allowing use on machinery exposed to coolant or hydraulic spray. The assembly is drag-chain suitable, so it can tolerate continuous flexing in dynamic energy chains without cracking. Current-carrying capacity reaches 3 A per power contact, which supports small servo axes and sensor clusters from the same trunk. The dielectric clearances and conductor layout match the four-wire hybrid interface so that shielding, pair twisting, and characteristic impedance remain consistent during motion.
