Product Description:
The ZK7000-0101-0030 cable is manufactured by Beckhoff as part of the ZK Motor Cables series. It serves as a combined power and data lead for EtherCAT P installations, allowing drives, sensors, and compact I/O devices to receive a 24 V DC supply and real-time bus traffic through one assembly. By integrating both media in a factory-terminated harness, this product simplifies field wiring and reduces the cabinet space required in distributed automation cells. The combined connection also reduces the number of separate cables that must be routed between a control panel and field-mounted equipment.
The cable length is 3.0 m, giving sufficient reach for panel-to-axis routing without unnecessary slack. Internally, the conductors follow a 1x4xAWG22 layout, with one twisted quad carrying the supply and differential data signals. Each core provides a data cross section of 0.34 mm² (AWG22), balancing voltage drop against flexibility for moving applications. Both ends terminate in compact M8 circular connectors, and the assembly has a male-to-male configuration. This arrangement permits direct coupling to compatible EtherCAT P ports on controllers and field devices without separate gender-changing adapters. The compact connector format is well suited to equipment with limited installation space around distributed I/O modules and sensors.
A polyurethane outer jacket marked PUR withstands oil and weld spatter while keeping the minimum bend radius stable during continuous motion. This durability supports drag-chain use without compromising the cable shielding. The enclosure protection reaches IP65/IP67, protecting properly tightened connections against dust, water jets, and temporary immersion. The connectors use mechanical coding position 1 to ensure correct alignment with compatible ports. During operation, the power conductors can carry up to 3 A at an ambient temperature of 40 °C. The insulation supports system potentials of 50 V AC/60 V DC for EtherCAT P devices using US 24 V DC and UP 24 V DC supplies. These electrical limits support power delivery to decentralized modules installed on moving gantries, tool heads, and other automated equipment.
