Product Description:
The ZK4800-8003-0070 is a pre-assembled motor cable produced by Beckhoff within the ZK Motor Cables series. Intended for servo axes, the cable carries drive power, brake control, and encoder signals between a controller and a synchronous motor in automated machinery. Its factory-terminated connectors shorten installation time, and its electrical and mechanical ratings align with the requirements of Beckhoff drive systems used in industrial automation cells. By combining motor, brake, and feedback paths in one assembly, it also reduces the number of separate cable runs along a moving axis.
It uses a minimum bending radius of 61 mm to protect the conductor cores during routing inside drag chains. The 7.00 m fixed length accommodates medium-reach layouts without intermediate junctions, and its 12.2 mm outer diameter fits cable glands commonly used in control cabinets. A PVC jacket resists coolant splashes and offers moderate flexibility during repeated motion. At up to 1000 V AC, the insulation system withstands the DC-link voltage of modern drives, while a 30 A maximum phase current supports motors in the low-kilowatt range. End A uses an M23 straight female plug wired for power with 3 + PE and five signal contacts, while End B terminates in a 7.62 mm 30° female plug with four pins for connection to Beckhoff servo terminals.
Internally, the cable carries a 1.50 mm² three-phase feed that helps limit voltage drop, along with a dedicated brake pair sized at 0.75 mm² for release and holding circuits. An overall copper braid with ≥ 85% coverage suppresses EMI, and the insulation system provides ≥ 500 MΩ·km resistance to limit leakage under humid conditions. Logic and encoder lines are grouped into a shielded quad made from AWG22 conductors, which helps protect low-level signal transmission from electrical noise generated by the power conductors. Power wire resistance stays below 13.3 Ω/km, which helps reduce heat generation during continuous duty.
