Product Description:
The ZK4800-8003-0050 motor cable is produced by Beckhoff as part of the ZK Motor Cables series. It is intended for supplying power, brake control, and auxiliary signals between AX servo drives and rotary or linear motors in industrial automation cells. By combining multiple conductors inside a single jacket and shipping with factory-molded terminations, the cable simplifies routing inside machine frames and minimizes the risk of wiring errors on the production floor.
The assembly is supplied in a fixed length of 5.00 m, allowing direct point-to-point connection without excess slack. Its PVC jacket brings the overall diameter to 12.2 mm, which fits standard energy-chain separators and provides abrasion resistance during motion cycles. Head A uses an M23 circular connector that is sealed to IP66/67, so ingress of cooling fluids or dust is prevented at the servo housing. Internally, bare copper conductors and PP insulation keep resistance low while supporting a maximum circuit potential of 1000 V AC. The opposite Head B is a 4-pin interface matched to servo brake terminals, and the power and signal arrangement of 3+PE / 5 aligns with standard drive pinouts. A 7.62 mm terminal pitch maintains proper creepage distances for control logic connectors.
The cable is designed for repeated motion in drag-chain applications. A minimum bending radius of 61 mm permits installation without stressing the cores, while the composite arrangement of 4 × 1.5 mm² + 2 × 0.75 mm² + 2 × AWG22 separates power, brake, and feedback paths to reduce crosstalk. The dedicated motor phases rely on a 1.50 mm² power cross-section for continuous current, and the brake pair carries control energy through a 0.75 mm² conductor size.
