Product Description:
The ZK4704-0401-2050 is a prefabricated motor cable manufactured by Beckhoff for the ZK Motor Cables series. It connects a servo drive to a matching motor and carries three-phase power, protective earth, and feedback signals in one assembly, so separate conductors are not required. This arrangement simplifies wiring inside moving machine axes and keeps the power and signal paths grouped in a single harness. In industrial automation, it supports orderly cable routing while maintaining electrical compatibility with matching motor and I/O components.
This cable has a length of 5.00 m, allowing routing through machine frames without intermediate junctions. The conductor bundle includes 4 × 0.75 mm², 2 × 0.25 mm², and 2 × AWG26 conductors to support motor power, brake lines, and encoder signals. The assembly uses three power contacts plus protective earth and five signal contacts, and the contact resistance remains below 5 mΩ to limit voltage drop. The orange PVC jacket keeps the outside diameter to 7.0 mm, which eases drag-chain installation. For motor windings, the cable can carry up to 630 V AC/DC and a continuous current of 14 A. A coupling and gland provide an enclosure rating of IP66/67, so washdown and coolant splash do not penetrate the connection during operation.
Signal conductors are isolated for feedback electronics and can transmit up to 63 V AC/DC, keeping encoder or brake sensor circuits within safe-extra-low-voltage limits. Tool-free assembly is achieved through the Bayonet locking sleeve, which seats with a quarter-turn and is rated for as many as 500 mating cycles. The flexible PVC outer sheath works with the 8-wire shield to reduce electromagnetic interference along robot arms or linear stages. Shielding is especially useful when motor power and low-level feedback signals share the same cable route. The combined power and signal layout suits dynamic machine sections where repeated movement can place added stress on separate cable runs.
