Product Description:
The ZK4590-9901-0100 is manufactured by Beckhoff within the ZK Motor Cables series. It is supplied as a hybrid motor cable that carries power conductors, signal pairs, and auxiliary cores in one sheath so that drives and motors can be linked with fewer routed lines in automated equipment. This arrangement reduces cable bulk along moving axes and supports combined motor and feedback routing through a single flexible assembly.
The cable is intended for continuous motion in energy-chain systems, and its rated service life reaches 5,000,000 cycles under stated test conditions. The outer jacket is formulated for drag-chain duty, and in dynamic carriers the cable may flex down to a minimum loop of 100 mm without exceeding copper strain limits. It can withstand axis accelerations up to 20 m/s² while maintaining shielding integrity, and traversing gantries can run the chain at linear speeds of 240 m/min. Internally, the conductor layout includes 4 x 1.5 mm² for motor phases, 2 x 0.75 mm² for brake or service voltage, 2 x 0.30 mm² for temperature sensors, and 4 x 0.15 mm² for digital feedback. This layout allows power, control, and feedback circuits to share one flexible cable path during motion.
Both terminations arrive factory-stripped and tin-dipped and are listed as prepared at both ends, which eliminates field stripping and keeps shield lengths consistent. On the drive side, a D-Sub shell with 15 poles mates to AX-series inverters and provides quick-lock latching with integrated backshell grounding. The motor side uses a circular Speedtec fitting, and the chosen interface is the Htec 723 Speedtec style with keyed bayonet coupling and full 360-degree braid contact. Its power insert accepts the phase set, while the feedback insert carries the control cores, and the housing includes 9 poles assigned to the motor connector pattern. These connector formats allow direct connection to Beckhoff servo assemblies without additional adapters.
