Product Description:
Beckhoff’s ZK Motor Cables series includes motor power and feedback cordsets for distributed servo systems. The ZK4531-0010-0050 is a preassembled hybrid cable that links an M23 drive connection to a matching motor connector, carrying phase conductors and signal pairs in a single run. In automated equipment, the assembly reduces separate cable routing between drive amplifiers and moving axes while maintaining consistent electrical performance.
This model is supplied in a factory-terminated length of 5 m, so motors can be installed several meters from the control cabinet without intermediate junctions. Inside the PUR jacket, a conductor arrangement of 4 × 2 × 0.25 mm² separates power cores from feedback pairs to limit crosstalk and manage heat. The cable supports an operating voltage of 300 V AC, and each M23 contact path is rated for 7 A. When connected, the threaded coupling meets IP66/67, which helps block dust and water ingress. A female 12-pin M23 connector is fitted on the drive side, while a male 12-pin connector terminates the motor side, and keyed inserts help prevent polarity errors during connection.
Electromagnetic compatibility is supported by a braided copper shield with coverage of ≥ 85%, reducing emissions and improving resistance to external noise. The insulation system withstands surges up to 2.5 kV, and the cable has a factory high-pot rating of 1500 V for dielectric strength. Gold-plated contacts maintain a resistance of < 5 mΩ, which helps limit voltage drop along the cable run. Tinned copper strands improve corrosion resistance, polypropylene wire insulation keeps capacitance low, and the polyurethane jacket remains flexible in dynamic drag-chain motion from −25 °C to +60 °C.
