The ZK4530-0010-0140 is a motor cable assembled by Beckhoff for the ZK Motor Cables series. It combines power and feedback conductors so a single run can link an AX drive to its synchronous motor in an automated cell. By matching electrical insulation with dynamic motion limits, the cable supports reliable energy transfer and signal integrity during constant flexing cycles typical of pick-and-place robots, conveyors, and compact gantry axes in industrial automation equipment. Using one cable for both functions also helps simplify routing where moving axes have limited installation space.
The conductor layout uses four power cores and four pairs of 0.25 mm² signal conductors. These cores support up to 300 V AC continuous operation, and the insulation withstands surges of 2.5 kV during rapid inverter switching. A drag-chain life of 5,000,000 strokes supports long service in high-duty carriers. The thermoplastic jacket has a nominal outer diameter of 7.5 mm, allowing compact routing through cable tracks. A braid and foil shield with at least 85% coverage limits emitted noise, while contact resistance stays below 5 mΩ and insulation resistance remains above 500 MΩ. Drive-side control lines may carry potentials up to 160 V AC/DC, and the cable has a 1500 V test voltage between conductors and shield.
Mechanical flexibility is supported by a permissible dynamic tensile load of 20 N/mm² on the copper conductors and by a torsion limit of ± 30 °/m. This makes the cable suitable for rotary tables or robot wrists. In linear systems, it can travel at speeds up to 3 m/s without exceeding its bend radius. The signal cores carry up to 7 A continuously, while overall wire resistance does not exceed 76 Ω/km, which helps limit voltage drop on long runs. Gold-plated contacts are rated for 500 mating cycles, and shielding continuity is maintained through the molded connectors to keep emission levels within EMC limits.
