Product Description:
The ZK4530-0010-0090 motor connection cable is produced by Beckhoff as part of the ZK Motor Cables series. It links a servo drive with its matched rotary motor and is intended for continuously moving cable chains in automated machinery. By combining power cores with feedback conductors in one assembly, the cable simplifies installation while sustaining dependable signal integrity during rapid axis motion.
Electrical performance begins with a nominal conductor rating of 300 V AC, suitable for standard low-voltage motor phases. The eight signal wires are organized in a 4 × 2 × 0.25 mm² layout, giving equal impedance across the pair-twisted feedback channels. During repeated travel, the copper is protected against stretch forces up to 20 N/mm², a dynamic tensile load level that prevents conductor necking. A tough PUR outer jacket shields the bundle from coolants and abrasion while remaining flexible at high machine duty. For sudden drive-generated surges, the molded M23 connector endures 2.5 kV impulse voltage; its core pins also carry 160 V AC/DC at up to 7 A and are arranged in a 12-pin pattern, whereas the opposite control-side plug is a 15-pin D-sub. Accelerations to 20 m/s² are permitted without exceeding the bend radius, and polypropylene insulation stabilizes dielectric strength.
In dynamic drag-chain service, the cable is verified for 5 million bending cycles at strokes that can reach a linear velocity of 3 m/s. Torsional movement is allowed up to ±30°/m, so rotary tables or robotic wrists can share the same supply link without extra swivel joints. Electrical insulation integrity is proven by a test potential of 1500 V, giving margin above the working voltage. The M23 coupling endures 500 mechanical mating actions, and its insert arrangement maintains stable contact resistance over the life of the chain.
