Product Description:
The ZK4530-0010-0030 motor cable is produced by Beckhoff within the ZK Motor Cables series. It is supplied as a pre-assembled connection line for servo axes, carrying power and feedback signals between the drive amplifier and the motor in dynamic automation cells. The design targets cable carriers and articulated robots where continuous flexing and electromagnetic compatibility are required for reliable motion control.
The cable uses a conductor matrix of 4 x 2 x 0.25 mm², giving eight finely stranded copper cores for differential signaling and auxiliary supply. A factory-cut length of 3.00 m suits compact gantries, while the polyurethane jacket holds the outer diameter to 7.5 mm so bend radii stay small in drag chains. Electromagnetic immunity is improved by a tinned-copper braid that covers at least 85 % of the surface, which is important when the leads operate at the specified 160 V AC/DC. Conductor resistance is limited to 76.0 Ω/km or less, and the crimped terminations keep contact resistance below 5 mΩ. The insulation system withstands a 1500 V test voltage and provides a leakage path of at least 500 MΩ, while the signal cores can deliver 7 A continuously without exceeding their thermal rating. The twisted-pair layout minimizes crosstalk between encoder channels and brake leads, and the combination of low impedance and high dielectric strength supports precise position feedback during high slew rates.
During carrier motion, the assembly endures accelerations up to 20 m/s² and supports travel velocities of 3 m/s without conductor fatigue. Its flex-rated construction delivers a lifetime of 5 million double strokes, and the dielectric can absorb switching spikes up to 2.5 kV impulse voltage. A dynamic tensile limit of 20 N/mm² helps prevent elongation of the copper strands, while a torsion allowance of ± 30° per meter lets the cable twist along multi-axis joints.
