Product Description:
The ZK4511-0020-0020 motor cable is produced by Beckhoff within the ZK Motor Cables series. Designed for dynamic servo axes, the assembly links a drive controller to an AM or AX-series motor, carrying power, brake, and sensor lines in a single jacket. In factory automation, a dedicated motor cable simplifies installation and helps preserve signal quality when machines require synchronized positioning. The single-jacket layout also keeps related conductors together between the cabinet and the motor, which helps maintain orderly routing on moving axes.
At a fixed length of 2.00 m, the cable suits small to mid-sized machinery where excess slack is undesirable. Signal and power reach the motor through an M23 plug to M23 socket interface. Inside the connectors, the 17-pin female to male contact layout separates encoder pairs from three-phase conductors. Insulation withstands impulses up to 2.0 kV, which helps protect drive electronics against switching transients. The outer sheath is made of PUR (polyurethane), giving the cable abrasion resistance and oil tolerance. It also withstands peak accelerations of 30 m/s², which suits fast pick-and-place motion.
Repeated chain motions are supported for up to 10 million bending cycles at traverse speeds reaching 4 m/s. The conductor bundle uses a 7 x 2 x 0.14 mm² plus 2 x 0.5 mm² layout, and the foil-and-braid shield provides at least 85% coverage to suppress electrical noise. The shield arrangement also helps limit interference between feedback lines and motor power during rapid axis movement. A moving bend radius of seven times the outer diameter helps limit stress concentration, while tinned copper strands and crimp terminations help reduce contact resistance during the cable’s 7 A continuous current and 30 V operating range. The assembly is rated IP66/67, so it resists dust ingress and high-pressure washdown in packaging, food, and material-handling equipment.
